REAL WORLD EXAMPLE

ANDREW WALLACE IS AN ARCHITECTURE STUDENT AT UNSW WHO IS CURRENTLY FINISHING OFF HIS FINAL YEAR. HE WORKS FOR THE PRACTICE "LAURA CALDER ARCHITECT" WHICH IS A SMALL FIRM SPECIALISING IN RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS.

FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW TO TAKE A "DIGITAL TOUR" OF A RECENT PROJECT:

I ASKED MR WALLACE HOW LONG IT TOOK HIM TO DO THE SETUP FOR THE VIRTUAL TOUR;

"The model was already built in archicad. It probably took about 4-5 hours all up. that includes 3dsmax to setup all the materials and open doors etc -and then i had to learn how to make materials and the setup in UT3 because it was my first attempt. So there was a bit of wasted time from mistakes and learning. I would estimate the next time would take between 2 and 3 hours, especially if you can recycle materials in max and ut3."

IT'S WORTH A LOOK TO SEE HOW SOMEONE IS INTEGRATING THIS APPROACH IN PRACTICE.
