TASK FOR WEEK 3

Meet in room 2001 at 3.30pm.

Task for the week:

1. Send a representative to BECU to determine what is required to loan 3 x 46" LCD screens and 3 x XPS laptops (installed with web browsing capability and UT3) to run the screens.

2. In your group pairs (i.e. A+1, B+2 and C+3) gather the required equipment and set it up in rm2001.

3. In your groups discuss which of the instruments of web based collaboration will be most useful for your group project. Discuss how you propose to use them and reveal their particular advantages.

4. At 5pm you will be demonstrating your UT3 environments to your groups supervisor. If you don't have your version of a room in UT3 with you (or accessible via the web) quickly make another one before 5pm.

Independent Study: (complete by the beginning of next weeks class)

1. All students will write a blog entry on the theme of "Discipline" in regards to the different disciplines involved in an Architectural Collaboration. Refer to the Brief for the Blog on the course website.

2. Groups A+1 will be presenting at 5pm next week. In addition to the Brief for the Blog these groups should refer also to the Brief for the Wiki on the course website.

3. All groups should continue working on their Unbuilt Architectural Project and be integrating some of the instruments discussed above in their collaborative work.
